Wildflower Bingo & Native Plant Adoptathon- 5/20 at 5pm

Free, in-person program for kids ages 5-12

Win prizes playing BINGO and learn to identify the wildflowers.

We will be playing Lucy Hammett’s Wildflower BINGO. I love this brand. They have beautiful photography and great non-traditional bingo subjects. Each wildflower has “fun facts” to accompany it. You can order extra cards for any size group. Fun AND educational- thats how we do!

Adopt a native plant and give it a new home.

I was introduced to Linda Blossom through Theresa Lahr. I love how the connections flow in these parts. Linda is a native plant connoisseur and very generous with both time and plants. She has been an amazing consultant and is donating plants to our event. Participants will get info to guide their “adoption” decisions and take home a plant baby of their very own.

Have dinner with friends at the library.

As usual, we will await the pizza santa from Pat’s Pizza in Ovid (can’t say enough good things about those sheet pies!) but will you also be sampling edible wildflowers? Perhaps……

Take home a garden stepping stone kit.

These kits are awesome, they include everything from stone mix to decorations. A kid of almost any age could do this with help. Each kit is capable of making four 7″ stones. But keep in mind you can always go rogue and decorate these uniquely however you want- with handprints or foot prints or favorites pieces of whatever. My kids added plastic animals, broken plate shards, and even the keys from a dismantled keyboard.

Registration is required, space is limited. 607-582-6218 or youth@lodilibrary.net
