Join us under the tent for:
Papermaking with Recycled Materials!
On Friday July 22nd, 5-7pm at Lodi Whittier Library.
Learn how to make your own eco-friendly handmade paper with recycled materials. We’ll experiment with pulp made from beaten fabric and recycled paper in a blender, using tools called a mould and deckle to form sheets of paper.
All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring scrap paper to make into pulp. This is a wet process, so wear clothes that can get messy!
This program is led by Laura Rowley who operates Illuminated Press, a micro publisher that crafts handmade books. To learn more, please visit illuminatedpress.org.
Registration is suggested but not required. All ages are welcome. This program is FREE for participants thanks to the generous funding from the Bernard Carl and Shirley Rosen Library Fund of the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.
