Introduction to Wildflower Identification Walk

wildflowerThe Lodi Whittier Library is pleased to announce as part of its 2015 Arts and Artisan Series, sponsored by the Delavan Foundation:

Introduction to Wildflower I.D.Walk

with Alex Petzke

Sunday, May 17, from 2:00-4:00 P.M.

Alex Petzke, member of the Finger Lakes Native Plant Society, will lead an introductory class and forest walk that focuses on local wildflowers, with an emphasis on features useful in their identification.  We will also likely encounter birds and other wildlife, and learn about the biology and ecology of the Finger Lakes region.

All of our classes are free, but registration is appreciated. Please call the Lodi Whittier Library at (607)-582-6218 to register or for more information. Rain date is the following Sunday, May 24.

Please park and meet where the Interloken Trail crosses Searsburg Road/Route 1 in the Finger Lakes National Forest.
